Red rocks but no seals :-(

Another sunny weekend in Wellington - Hoorah! On our eternal search for seals, we drove out to Island Bay and did the walk to Red Rocks where there is allegedly a seal colony. It was a lovely walk along the coast for about an hour and a half, with beautiful views out across the Cook Strait.

Unfortunately though, when we reached the alleged seal 'haul-out', we discovered that they only frequent this headland in winter! Doh!

Never mind, it was a lovely walk, and we did see some lovely red rocks!
