First Weekend in Wellington

Our first day in Wellington lived up to it's reputation - a bitingly cold wind, grey skies and even rain :-( We got out and about just so we could try and stay awake as long as possible to beat the jet lag, but we were soon freezing so we sheltered in One Red Dog and ate the most amazing pizzas ever! Mmmnnn! Eyelids soon started drooping, so off we went, out into the cold again, and visited New World, for our first NZ supermarket experience. After a bit of a shock at the prices (not as cheap as we were expecting!), we bought a few essentials and went home to bed (5pm - I think we did quite well!)....
