Our new home

Saturday 13th Nov - Today we moved into our new house in Mount Victoria. What a relief to have a place of our own, even if it does look somewhat like a portacabin in someone's back garden from the outside!! We said farewell to the 'Towers' with pleasure, packed our stuff into our hire car, and drove off to Mt Vic.

Our new house has 2 bedrooms and is kind of a bungalow with one upstairs room. The front door is French windows from the lounge out to the front yard, which is a lovely suntrap, hidden from Wellington's wind!

Once we'd unpacked the car, we strolled down to Oriental Bay for a picnic, enjoying the fact that it is now only a 5 minute walk from our front door! It was a lovely sunny day, and we watched some mad fools swimming in the freezing water!
